Bathurst Spring Garden Spectacular 2014 - visit 11 spring gardens in and around Bathurst, from formal town gardens to historic and large country gardens. Proceeds will go to local charities.

The Bathurst Spring Spectacular is managed jointly by the Bathurst Gardeners' Club Inc, Radio 2BS Gold and the Western Advocate.

    2. Bathurst District Historical Museum Overflowing with historical artefacts concerning the history and development of the Bathurst Region, the Bathurst District Historical Museum has changing regular exhibitions on historically relevant local themes.
    3. Chifley Home and Education Centre Chifley Home is a house museum which serviced as the only marital home of Australian Prime Minister Ben Chifley and his wife, Elizabeth. The home contains original household furnishings and personal belongings of the Chifley's. On display are also ceremonial gifts presented to Ben Chifley in his roles as Commonwealth Treasurer and Prime Minister.
    4. National Motor Racing Museum The National Motor Racing Museum is located alongside the world famous racing circuit, Mount Panorama.
    5. Slados Recycled Books Slado's Recycled Books has been established since the mid 1990s and offers avid readers and collectors a treasure trove of books.

    1. Denison Bridge The Denison Bridge was built between 1869 - 1870 to replace the bridge that was washed away in the 1867 floods.
    2. Miss Traills House and Garden Miss Traill's House and Garden is a National Trust property situated in Bathurst. Today it is an elegant house museum containing Ida Traill's significant collection of artefacts. These were collected by four generations of the Kite and Lee families, recipients of original land grants in the Bathurst area and from whom Ida Traill is descended.

    1. Bathurst Golf Club Everybody is welcome at the Bathurst Golf Club. Established in 1894 the golf course is a true test of golf with excellent greens and places as the third oldest Club in New South Wales. Golf professional Matt Barrett is a highly regarded coach and keen to see you on the course.
    2. Bathurst Soaring Club Bathurst Soaring Club is one of the best gliding clubs in Australia with eight club gliders (four two-seater trainers and four single-seaters) and two tow planes at Pipers Airfield just out of Bathurst.

    7. Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour The Bathurst 12 Hour is an international endurance race, for performance and production cars, at the spiritual home of Australian motor sport.
    8. The Royal Bathurst Show The Royal Bathurst Show is regarded as the best west of Sydney and boasts an average annual attendance in excess of 20,000 people. The only other NSW Royal Show is organised and run by the Bathurst Agricultural, Horticultural and Pastoral Association, a charitable community organisation who for nearly 150 years have been promoting agricultural activities and all aspects of rural and country life in the Bathurst area.

Alabar Gold Crown Carnival *** Latest event details are yet to be confirmed *** The Alabar Gold Crown Carnival runs for 10 days and is a mix of harness racing action (six race meetings) and social events. The social events include the Honouree Dinner, Golf Day, Gold Crown Ball and the yearling sale. Also the Miss Gold Crown Competition is held over the carnival and entrants raise money for the charity chosen for the year.

    1. Dubbo Visitors Centre The Dubbo City Information Centre is located on the corner of Macquarie Street and Newell Highway with excellent parking and restroom facilities. The centre is adjacent to the Macquarie Lions Park, which has barbecue facilities and is a great place for a picnic with views of the Macquarie River.

Forbes Motor Museum Visitor Centre Call into the Forbes Motor Museum Visitor Centre where the friendly local staff will welcome you and assist with information on points of interest in Forbes and the surrounding area, Visit the souvenir gift shop, pick up maps and other relevant information. The Centre also houses a cafe restaurant and cellar door showcasing local wines
    3. Gulargambone Visitor Information Centre Gulargambone Visitor Information Centre is situated in the 2828 Cafe. The friendly staff will be happy to provide you with information relating to Gulargambone and the surrounding area. Maps and brochures are available, together with a selection of souvenirs.
    4. Mudgee Visitor Information Centre Situated next to Mudgee Shire Council Chambers and opposite the beautiful Robertson Park, Mudgee Visitor Information Centre provides a welcome to visitors and residents alike.
    5. Parkes Visitor Information Centre Parkes Visitor Information Centre is located up the northern end of town at the Henry Parkes Centre along the Newell Highway. The centre provides the perfect opportunity for visitors to stop, visit the museum complex and find out more about the numerous attractions Parkes and the Shire area has to offer.
    6. Peak Hill Visitor Information Centre Peak Hill is situated on the Newell Highway approximately half way between Parkes and Dubbo in Central Western New South Wales.
    7. Wellington Visitor Information Centre The Wellington Visitor Information Centre is located in the beautiful, award winning Cameron Park in the centre of Wellington. The Centre is an accredited Information Centre and was first opened in 1971. The centre has recently moved into the more spacious and adjoining 'old Library'.
