Bathurst Spring Garden Spectacular 2014 - visit 11 spring gardens in and around Bathurst, from formal town gardens to historic and large country gardens. Proceeds will go to local charities.

The Bathurst Spring Spectacular is managed jointly by the Bathurst Gardeners' Club Inc, Radio 2BS Gold and the Western Advocate.

    3. Bathurst District Historical Society Museum Overflowing with historical artefacts concerning the history and development of the Bathurst Region, the Bathurst District Historical Museum has changing regular exhibitions on historically relevant local themes.
    4. Chifley Home and Education Centre Chifley Home is a house museum which serviced as the only marital home of Australian Prime Minister Ben Chifley and his wife, Elizabeth. The home contains original household furnishings and personal belongings of the Chifley's. On display are also ceremonial gifts presented to Ben Chifley in his roles as Commonwealth Treasurer and Prime Minister.
    5. National Motor Racing Museum The National Motor Racing Museum is located alongside the world famous racing circuit, Mount Panorama.
    6. Slados Recycled Books Slado's Recycled Books has been established since the mid 1990s and offers avid readers and collectors a treasure trove of books.

Established in 1894 the golf course is a true test of golf with excellent greens and places as the third oldest Club in New South Wales.     2. Bathurst Harness Racing Club Bathurst Harness Racing Club is one of the state's largest and most successful harness racing clubs outside of metropolitan Sydney. Bathurst club is centrally located within Central West NSW. The Club enjoys a strong harness racing following and participation with 52 tab race meetings hosted annually.
    3. Bathurst Soaring Club Bathurst Soaring Club is one of the best gliding clubs in Australia with eight club gliders (four two-seater trainers and four single-seaters) and two tow planes at Pipers Airfield just out of Bathurst.

Bathurst Half Marathon *** Latest event details are yet to be confirmed *** The Bathurst Half Marathon and 10 kilometre run is a fast, flat event, usually run in cool conditions in the friendly town of Bathurst. It is well known as the best free sausage sizzle in NSW, which also includes a running race.
    6. Bathurst Miniature Railway Bathurst Miniature Railway - operates every third Sunday of the month. The Miniature Railway is located next to the Tennis Centre in Durham Street. Train rides are available weather permitting and passengers must wear covered footwear.

    10. The Royal Bathurst Show The Royal Bathurst Show is regarded as the best west of Sydney and boasts an average annual attendance in excess of 20,000 people. The only other NSW Royal Show is organised and run by the Bathurst Agricultural, Horticultural and Pastoral Association, a charitable community organisation who for nearly 150 years have been promoting agricultural activities and all aspects of rural and country life in the Bathurst area.

    1. Bathurst Farmers' Markets Come along and meet the local growers and taste their healthy fresh seasonal produce. Boutique cordials, free range chickens and eggs, meat, gourmet pies, honey, jams and mustards, plants, shrubs, fresh and dried flowers, fresh fruit and vegetables are just part of the produce on sale.
    2. Bathurst Swap Meet The annual Bathurst Swap Meet is where buyers and sellers meet to catch up on anything and everything to do with vehicles and bric-a-brac.     1. Alabar Gold Crown Carnival The Alabar Gold Crown Carnival runs for 10 days and is a mix of harness racing action (six race meetings) and social events. The social events include the Honouree Dinner, Golf Day, Gold Crown Ball and the yearling sale. Also the Miss Gold Crown Competition is held over the carnival and entrants raise money for the charity chosen for the year.
    2. Bathurst Motor Festival The 2015 Bathurst Motor Festival returns over the Easter long weekend. The Event was conceived to continue the tradition of Easter racing at Mount Panorama and provide a broad range of motor sport categories with the opportunity to compete at Australia's traditional home of motorsport.
    3. Kidney Kar Rally The Kidney Kar Rally is celebrating its 27th birthday in 2015 and will start at Alice Springs, NT, travel via Coober Pedy, SA, and various other towns and villages, before finishing ten days and 5000 kilometres later at Moama, NSW.

    5. V8 Supercars Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 V8 Supercars is Australia's premiere motorsport category and one of the most exciting sporting championships in the world. The legendary Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, 9 to 12 October 2014, is the pinnacle V8 Supercars event, seeing thousands of race fans making their way to the Mount Panorama each year.
